Via dei Condotti. Rebuilt to the metre.
Evening over the Campo Marzio. Via dei Condotti runs from the Corso straight to the Piazza di Spagna, and the Steps climb to Trinità dei Monti.
This is not a picture of Rome. It is Rome, built on the real map: every street where OpenStreetMap draws it, every height from the survey, every fountain where it plays, every shop under its own name. Walk it, buy a lot beside it, build on it.
Francesco De Sanctis’s staircase of 1725, from the Barcaccia up to the French church of Trinità dei Monti and the Sallustian obelisk.

Piazza della Trinità dei Monti
A Roman obelisk made in the Egyptian manner for the Gardens of Sallust, its hieroglyphs copied from an older original. Pope Pius VI raised it here in 1789.
Piazza di Spagna
Pietro Bernini’s half-sunken boat for Pope Urban VIII. It sits below the street because the Acqua Vergine arrives here with little pressure.
Piazza Mignanelli
Dedicated on 8 December 1857 to the dogma of the Immaculate Conception: a column of cipollino marble, Obici’s bronze Virgin on top, four prophets at its foot.
135 steps. 10 shops. One via.
A narrow canyon of ochre palazzi, named for the conduits that carried the water of the Acqua Vergine. At its end, the Steps.

Every view on this page is a frame of the world itself, rendered in real time.
Shop by shop, as OpenStreetMap lists Via dei Condotti today.
At dusk the windows light up along the via: Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Ferragamo, Saint Laurent, each under its real name.
The shopping hall of the stadium district: boutiques on every side of a plaza, a step from the Stadio Olimpico.
Furnished to the last shelf: the oak blocks, the lit walls, the pieces on display.
Where the real stadium stands. Opened in 1953, home of the Olympic Games of 1960 and the World Cup final of 1990, it seats 70,634 today. In META PULS, a seat for every ticket.
The full house, the match on the pitch: every seat can be sat in, every ticket takes you to yours.
Go to the arena →On the roof of the stadium district, a cinema and a concert hall. A seat for every ticket, the film on the screen, the show on the LED wall.
The concert hall on the roof: the curved rows, the stage, the light.
Low sun over the piazza. The travertine of the Steps turns gold, the twin towers of Trinità dei Monti catch the last light.
Then the lanterns, the shop windows and the lit fountain. The same via, open all night.
Every figure comes from the world’s own data: what is drawn, where it stands.
Around the main streets, the city is open land on the real cadastre. Buy a lot, place Villa Linden or the Kontor Hof on it, and walk through every room in the browser.
